I’ve always loved sitting at the counter.
In a restaurant, if given the choice, I won’t hesitate — I’ll take the counter seat. I enjoy the conversation with the staff, and it’s fascinating to watch the chef’s hands at work. More often than not, a lively exchange begins with the person sitting next to me — even if we’ve just met.

At home, if there’s a counter, I’ll casually perch on a stool with a cup of coffee. Have a quick breakfast. When friends stop by, it creates a different rhythm and ease than sitting down at a table.

This counter was created in the spirit of the STILL TABLE — inheriting its stripped-down clarity, its thick tabletop, and yet its presence free from any sense of heaviness.

Just like the top, solid panels of equal dignity support the piece firmly on both sides. The front, where you sit, is naturally finished in solid white oak, forming the face beneath the counter. And along the plinth at the base, a sheet of brass rests quietly, almost discreetly.
