Still Coat Stand

I had always wanted something like this.

A place to quickly hang a coat, hat, dog leash, walking gear, or a small pouch when leaving or returning home.

When a few people gather, and there’s no cloakroom for guests, coats and bags often end up on the sofa or chairs. That not only ruins the atmosphere but also leaves nowhere to sit.

That’s why I thought a coat stand like this was necessary.

This is the kind of piece likely to be placed near the entrance. In my preference, I don’t want much “design” there. I want it to stand quietly, unobtrusive. And when the time comes, it steps forward with a confident “Oui, chef.” A silent, yet reliable presence.

Even with such a modest role, its contribution is remarkable. A truly wonderful companion.
